Violin Lesson
Curriculum
Here you can see the technical skills you will acquire at each level. Naturally, at every stage, you will also learn to play a wide range of musical pieces suited to that level.
The pieces you learn depend on your interests. Do you want to play classical music? Or jazz? Improvise folk or rock? Unwind with "new age" or "ambient" music? Perhaps simply play beautiful melodies from films or video games? The violin offers endless possibilities!
Once you feel somewhat comfortable with the instrument, we can also experiment with different types of violins. You might want to try the electric violin, pick up a viola, or experience what it’s like to play a baroque violin...

Meet Cornelis
Hi! My name is Cornelis, and I would love to be your violin teacher. I have been teaching violin since 2010, and over that time, I’ve developed a teaching method that works exceptionally well for young beginners (as young as four!) while also resonating perfectly with adult beginners. My goal is to make your lessons as enjoyable and positive as possible, so you feel inspired to practice effectively between sessions and make rapid progress.
I have experience with all kinds of students:
Young children.
Adults with absolutely no prior experience, or those who haven't played in a long time and want to pick up the violin again.
Students preparing for orchestra or conservatory auditions.
Alongside my work as a violinist, I am constantly composing and arranging. I write music for small ensembles, orchestras, and electronic setups, and I create a great deal of educational music for string players. My educational arrangements and publications can be found on the music stands of students and amateur ensembles all over the world.
